I was invited to speak at the national convention of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology on AI design tools and generative and procedural design.
When I first presented, AI tools had just exploded onto the scene, with startling new capabilities appearing as fast as the panicked discussion of their influence. By my return the following year, the tools had only accelerated, while industry and institutions had begun developing workflows to empower creativity. The ethics and legal questions remained far from consensus.
